MEXICO CITY

. .

W O W !

Mexico City (D.F) being the largest city in the world, is too much for us to pass up on our way down to Zipolite. Despite its size, the feeling one gets from the people there is that of a much smaller town.

The Museum of Anthropology is one of the finest in the world, and is a "must see" for those going further on to Palenque or who would like to learn about the many other cultures in Mexico.

At the time we will be going there, we will possibly have to make advance reservations at what ever hotel(s) we stay at. A couple or three years ago when we were there we found a room in what appeared to be one of the finest hotels in the world for less than $30 a night for 4 people. That was a little over what we had planned to spend for hotels there, but the room was still such a bargain and was so nice that we ended up staying for several days longer than we had expected to.

The three or four days we are planning to spend there will in no way do justice to such a great city, so we will probably be rushing about to see and do as much as possible in such a short time.

Again, those who plan to make it to this section of the trip, be sure to get in on the discussion board (click below). Even though Mexico City is a bargain it costs more to stay there than the rest of the country, and hotel reservations will be in order to make sure we have no problem finding a place to stay.
